Living in the Desert takes us to Kunawarritji Community, which is the only settled community on the Canning Stock Route at Well 33. Senior Martumili artists create some of the most celebrated artworks in the Yiwarra Kuju exhibition and tell stories about the significance of the sites they paint and their experiences as young people coming into contact with non-indigenous people for the first time in the desert.
